Contemporary literature for young readers does not remain indifferent to the challenges of migration. This can be evidenced with many youth-dedicated publications dealing with the issue of refugees. The aim of the article is attempting to analyze the image of migration and migrants, as presented in Issa Watanbe’s picture book “Migrants”, as well as to highlight the educational import and uniqueness of this particular publication. In the reflections offered, the category of ethical interpretation is referred to together with the notions of otherness and the Other, all constituting the necessary perspective for describing the issue of migration.
