Summary

The subject of the article is the genological analysis of Internet comment. In the beginning part I present in short chronological research on genre description and I recall dictionary definitions of lexem comment in order to get parametres important for comment as a genre of speech. I also refer to conceptions of Stefania Skwarczyńska and Jerzy Bartmiński and Stanisława Niebrzegowska-Bartmińska. Genological analysis of Internet comment consists of following factors: sender, receiver, relations between them, subject, intention, language form and values. Research material is based on several hundred comments from Internet edition of “Gazeta Wyborcza” and its official Facebook fanpage. Internet comment appears to be a hybrid form, because it integrates features of oral and written language form. A lot of Internet comment characteristics are determined by communication environment of Internet space.
