Summary

The need of communication in the world in which technology and its creations are gaining more and more in popularity leads to the permeation of linguistic devices, which are typical of specialist languages, to the general language. Linguistic elements of a specialist character come into use also by means of science fiction. In the article indirect phenomena between the term and the word of the general language have been discussed and also the vocabulary of the science fiction novel has been characterised as, on the one hand, being an intermediary between the language of science and the general language and, on the other hand, coming into an intricate relation with the language of science. The permeation of devices between the languages under discussion have been described within the categories of terminologisation and determinologisation.
