Discussion about ritual slaughter appeared in Poland in early 2013 due to the change of the law. Animal defenders wanted to prohibit this kind of slaughter, so they organized several demonstrations to persuade people, especially politicians to vote against ritual slaughter. The article presents the persuasion techniques that participants used in the last, decisive demonstration. An important issue for the effectiveness of persuasion on the picket was the use of language devoid of aggression, as well as references to the relevant values for the Poles.
