The article addresses cosmetic vocabulary used by authors and readers of blogs devoted to hair care, especially by so-called “hair maniacs”, i.e. women who are fanciers of beautiful, well maintained hair. “Hair maniacs” create one of many virtual communities generating a specific vocabulary. Lexis which the enthusiasts of beautiful hair use can be divided into several semantic fields, namely: names of hair types, names of hair look, names of hair washing, hair care and hair styling, names of effects of hair care, names of methods of hair washing, names of persons due to their hair, names of body parts, names of cosmetics for hair care.
