Summary

The author discusses the performative aspects of poetry. The category of agency allows to go beyond the text-centric approach and see the action of building a poem in connection with the poets’ aspirations to reestablish themselves and their surroundings. The interpretation of poetry of three Olkusz authors (Olimpia Rychlińska, Kazimiera Janczy, Irena Włodarczyk) combines the presentation of selected texts with the experiences of their authors. Olkusz and its surroundings perceived by the poets, appear to be a contemporary locus amoenus, safe and domestic places, which are part of both the literary and private biographies of the authors. Their poetry projects, created in the Olkusz literary club, have the character of participatory art, fulfilled in a shared experience.
