Summary

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the results of Gardner´s Multiple Intelligences test and combine them with preferred learning styles by students of English and Spanish philology at the University of Szczecin. Combining the types of intelligence with the learning styles can not only help the student to obtain better results in a shorter time, but also teach him which techniques are the most effective for him. In addition, the knowledge of these learning styles and type of intelligence helps the second language teacher in making decisions regarding the choice of the most appropriate activities for each group of students.
