The author discusses the performative status of a poetic work. Considering the philosophy of drama (J. Tischner), the author examines the relationship between the poets of Piwnica pod Baranami and the presentation stage. Moving beyond the model of linear literary communication and the structural concept of the work allows for the recognition of significant values in their creativity, which escape text-centric analysis. The aesthetics of performativity (E. Fischer-Lichte) and the poetics of experience (R. Nycz) enable the identification of the particular importance of the poets’ direct relationship with the audience. The author reveals its specificity in the context of the stage actions of Piotr Skrzynecki and the works of Andrzej Bursa.
