Summary

One of novels by Małgorzata Musierowicz from her cycle Jeżycjada, entitled Nutria i Nerwus, is inspired by A Midsummer Night’s Dream, one of William Shakespeare’s plays. References to the comedy are proceeding in Musierowicz’s novel on events set, the way of the creation of protagonists and a time of story, because essential turns of action follow in a midsummer. In both works adventures line occur around the love plot, around emotions, which move beyond common sense. Using textual analysis it is possible to come to a conclusion, that Musierowicz conduct in her novel a specific dialogue with Shakespeare’s comedy.
