Summary

The purpose of the article is to present thanatology pictures that could be found in tetralogy ‘Nights and Days’ by Maria Dąbrowska. Lifestories of characters that involve illness or death were analyzed. The fundamental question of those scientific reflections is how Dąbrowska is showing death and its significance in the characters’ lives. The methodology is somatic criticism in which could be found perception and way of representing physical experiences in literature.
