The current paper offers an analysis of the semantic field and axiology of the canticle on love authored by Paul of Tarsus. The cultural background and Judeo-Christian tradition are used to delineate a parenetic framework in the description of the biblical term agape. Stratification of objective reality and metaphysical realism were thoroughly investigated in the interpretation of the Greek text.
